Kyle Sandilands of the top-rating "Kyle and Jackie O Show" on KIIS FM excitedly told co-workers that he had just interviewed US President Barack Obama himself. His excitement, however, faded when he found out that he had been pranked.

This is thanks to his co-host, Jackie O, who orchestrated the entire thing. The fake interview happened in the morning of Aug. 5. News.com.au reports that the funny duo recently had a guest with White House connections come in, so Jackie used the opportunity to claim that the publicist of the guest "accidentally" left their email chain which includes the private line of the President Of the United States (POTUS). Of course, the number didn’t really connect to the POTUS. It connected instead to another person who can sound just like US President Obama.

"We actually didn't think you would believe it. I started to feel a little bit guilty," Jackie O said on air.

Upon seeing the number, the two reportedly got excited and rang it. After a few rings, the "president" answered, sounded a bit puzzled that radio jocks from Australia are calling him and then reluctantly agreed to an interview with Kyle. "Great job on looking out for the rest of the world, as well, we really appreciate it," he told Obama.

After the phone interview, Jackie said Kyle got very excited and began telling people that he had just gotten off the phone with the POTUS. This is when she knew she had to drop the ball. "We weren't planning on telling you until on air but I said we're going to have to tell him now because he's telling everyone we got the President," she said on the air. "What a fat fool I am," he disappointedly replied.

The "Kyle and Jackie O Show,” a part of the Australian Radio Network (ARN), is reportedly being offered to return to Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) which it left around two years ago. In an interview with Sydney Morning Herald , Sandilands revealed that a AU$12 million offer is on the table, but said that they will not return just for money. "I'm happy for Southern Cross to throw money at us because whatever they throw, ARN will throw more back so it just drives my price up," he said. The 44-year-old jock also added that he won't change his mind despite the departure of SCA chairman Max Moore-Wilton, whom he clashed with, in February.
