Rafael Nadal has the best the chance to dominate the upcoming North American hard-court season and win his third US Open championship this year in Flushing Meadows. This is what majority of tennis fans think based on a survey conducted by streaming site Tennis TV.

The survey results showed that 47 percent of the voters believed Nadal is going to dominate again the upcoming hard-court battles that would reach climax at the US Open championship starting late August.

Novak Djokovic, who placed runner-up in his last two US Open appearances, checked in at second place with 23.6 percent of votes while Roger Federer (19.5 percent), Andy Murray (2.2 percent) and Grigor Dimitrov (2.2 percent) round out the top-5.

The 28-year old Nadal enters the hard-court season with lots of expectations and tons of ATP world ranking points to defend after racking up the Rogers Cup, Cincinnati Masters and US Open championship last year.

Despite dropping to second in the ranking, the Mallorcan Bull remains among the favourites to win in Flushing Meadows, boasting a developing game on hard-court and healthy pair of knees.

Meanwhile, Toni Nadal accepted the challenge of helping Nadal reprise the success he had last year, when he went 22-0 at one point of the season. The elder Nadal believed it won't be easy defending 4,000 points, but they head into the competitions without thinking more about the points to be defended.

"What really matters is to play well in the tournaments and don't focus on the points," Nadal said in a recent interview via Tennis Earth.

Nadal believed his nephew should not be counted out at the US Open, even if he loses both the Rogers Cup and Cincinnati Masters. He

"It will not be easy to repeat those results" Toni said, "But we will try. I am ready to sign straight away a paper if you tell me that Rafael will lose both the Masters 1000 and win the US Open".

Nadal, already with 14 Grand Slam title following his victory at the French Open, could move two more majors titles away from Roger Federer's 17 Grand Slam should he become triumphant again.

But the pressure is going to be higher, as Djokovic, Federer, Murray and the rest of men's tennis look to stop another Spanish party in New York.
