Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has high hopes that he will have a better 2015 season. Nadal, who dropped in the third place of the world rankings following an injury-plagued 2013 season has said that he's main goal is to play "healthy" all-year round.

In interview with DPA in Manacor, Nadal has talked about his hopes in the upcoming season. Nadal said he will try to be to compete again at the top of his level. He cited the injuries, such as his back problems at the 2014 Australian Open, wrist injury at Wimbledon, and the appendicitis at the 2014 Shanghai Rolex Masters, that had prevented him for playing at his best.

"Many things have happened that have allowed me not having the necessary pace to be competitive in every month of the year," Nadal said. "The goal next year is that this does not happen."

According to an article by Tennis World USA, Nadal, who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy in November, targets to be "fully competitive" by the Indian Wells and Miami tournaments. The 2014 Indian Wells will run from March 9 to March 22, 2015. The 2014 Miami Open, on the other hand, will start on March 23 until April 5, 2015.

Nadal is expected to kick off his 2015 season for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. The money-rich exo will run from Jan. 1 to Jan. 3, 2015. Nadal is a two-time champion at the event. Other participating players include Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Gael Monfils.

During the Mubadala World Tennis Championship 2015, Nadal will reportedly play with four lucky fans at an exclusive tennis clinic that will be held in the tournament's venue at the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City, What's On Dubai reports.

Aside from hitting balls with the Spanish tennis superstar, fans will also get the chance to be up close and personal with Nadal. The fans will also be receiving signed merchandise from Nadal. The exclusive tennis clinic with the Spanish tennis ace will take place at the final day of the tournament, which is Jan. 3, 2015.
