Rafael Nadal Tries His Hand At Bluffing In A New Prank Ad
Rafael Nadal is so good in tennis and he is just as good at bluffing. Nadal recently starred in a hilarious prank ad for PokerStars.
In the video, Nadal was instructed to bluff and pretend that he had lost his memory after his head was hit by a golf ball. He tricked three innocent golfers and his acting must have been that great because he had sent one of the prank victim into a livid fright.
One golfer has put his end over his mouth in shock when Nadal told him that he had no idea who he was. "Let's see, you are Rafa Nadal, the tennis player, everyone knows you," the golfer lamented. "You are a figure," another one said.
Nadal then received a call on his phone from someone who wanted an interview from him. The golfers looked vexed as they tried to explain what had happened to one of the world's greatest tennis player. The joke was only revealed when the participant in the prank eventually explained what was going on.
Nadal is just one of the celebrity sports stars who compete online at PokerStars. Other sports personalities include Dutch field hockey Olympic gold medallist Fatima Moreira De Molo, Swedish Olympic gold winner cross-country skier Marcus Hellner, former tennis champion Boris Becker, and Italian footballer Gianluigi Buffon among many others.
Nadal last played in the 2014 Shanghai Rolex Masters. He was upset by fellow compatriot Feliciano Lopez in straight sets, 3-6, 6(6)-7(8). He was reportedly sick with appendicitis when he played his second round match against Lopez. It has been revealed that Nadal will postpone his surgery for his sickness by the end of the year.
Nadal still has every intention to play in the remaining three tournaments of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour. He will compete in the Swiss Indoors in Basel, the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, and the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. Nadal is currently ranked third in the latest ATP world rankings released on Oct. 13. Watch Nadal in the PokerStars commercial.
