The outfit that Rafael Nadal will wear for the season-opening 2016 Australian Open had been making rounds over various news outlets. Nadal, who is always one to lead the way in tennis fashion, will be sporting the soft colours of yellow and white on his Nike outfit for the first grand slam tournament of the 2016 tennis season.

Nadal’s top wear is white on the front with a bit of yellow on the upper section while its rear area is all yellow with patches of blue squares in the middle. The 29-year-old Spanish tennis star will match his top with a white short that has yellow around the edges. Tennis World USA has the pictures here.

This year, Nadal wore a bright pink T-shirt with a neon yellow wristband to go with his sneakers. He reached the quarterfinals, but lost to Tomas Berdych after the Czech ended his 17-match losing streak against him in three sets 6-2 6-0 7-6(5). Nadal is looking to add on to his 14 grand slams tally in Melbourne next year, which is scheduled to run from Jan. 24 to Feb. 1.

Meanwhile, Nadal is currently taking part at the season-ending tournament at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. Nadal topped the Ilie Nastase Group after securing victories in his round robin matches against Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray to clinch a semifinal spot, where he will play Novak Djokovic.

The Serb finished second behind Roger Federer in the Stan Smith Group. Djokovic booked his place in the semifinal after beating sixth seed Berdych 6-3 7-5 Thursday. Federer, on the other hand, previously defeated Japan’s Kei Nishikori in a thrilling three-set clash. The Swiss awaits the winner of the match between fellow compatriot Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray.
