Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone has suggested that his current girl Katrina Kaif take a chill pill and be a little more careful. This unsolicited piece of advice comes just a few days after Katrina Kaif wrote an open letter to Indian media accusing them of invading her privacy and questioning media ethics.

Deepika believes that it is better to be a little careful than accuse anyone. According to news agency Press Trust of India (PTI), Deepika gave the advice when asked about Katrina and Ranbir's pictures getting splashed across the media.

"It has never happened with me. I believe if you are a celebrity or public figure... these things are bound to happen. And I don't think you can accuse anybody of anything. If I am a public figure and if someone has captured me then I feel I should have been a little careful," she said, as quoted in a report published in Indian Express.

Pictures of Katrina, wearing a red-white bikini, and her boy-friend Ranbir, flaunting his bare torso, captured at a beach in Spain were recently published by a film magazine and it did not take long for them to go viral.

Deepika is currently enjoying the best phase of her Bollywood Career. Her movies are scoring big at the India box office and unlike in the past, critics are also appreciating her performances.

She has bagged some of the most prestigious Bollywood projects. There are rumours that Farah Khan may have zeroed in on her for her upcoming movie "Happy New Year," starring Shah Rukh Khan.

When asked about whether she has signed "Happy New Year," Deepika said, "You will know my line up soon. I am focusing on "Chennai Express" promotions and "Ram Leela"...Whatever announcements have to be made will be made soon."

Deepika has already bagged Imtiaz Ali's next project, which left Katrina crestfallen. She has been paired opposite Ranbir in the movie.

The three recent movies of hers, "Cocktail," "Race 2," "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani," have done excellent business at the box office -- especially "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani."

"Yeh Jawaani... did amazing business and got some kind of love and appreciation that very few films get. It's a sweet feeling when you have box office and critical acclaim, the film has repeat value and people call you by your screen name when you step out of your home," she said in an interview to Live Mint.
