Rapper Huddy 6 dies in a car accident
Rapper Huddy Combs, better known as Huddy 6 (@hud6), died in a car accident in New York City on Wednesday morning (October 13).
Port Authority spokerperson confirmed the reports to MTV News saying that Huddy 6 was travelling southbound to New Jersey on the George Washongton bridge when his car struck a truck.
Huddy 6 died on the scene while his female companion was brought to the hospital, as confirmed by Heckensack Medical Univesity Center. Reports from close associates of Huddy 6 on Twitter said Huddy 6's female companion is in stable condition.
Huddy, born Andre Hudson, is a known close associate of Cam'ron who said his childhood friend saved his life when he was shot twice at a party during the Howard University homecoming weekend in Washington, D.C.
Huddy Combs was a member of the disbanded Mase's Harlem World rap group whose sole LP was The Movement. He later appeared on former Source magazine owner Ray Benzino's anti-Eminem mixtape Die Another Day: Flawless Victory in 2003 and in Benzino's album Arch Nemesis in 2005.
After his music career took a downward turn, Huddy managed to become a fixture at New York's party scene as a promoter of many high profile-events.
