Rapper Webbie arrested over drug charges

Rapper Webbie has been arrested when the Tennesse Highway Patrol officers found drugs in his car. He was also charged with drug possession and tampering with evidence.

According to the Associated Press, the police found $13,000 and 2 ounces of marijuana from Webbie, whose real name is Webster Gradney Jr.
The troopers charged him of tampering with evidence after Webbie reportedly attempted to get rid of the drugs by throwing them out of the car window.
The AP said that Webbie, whose album, “Savage Life 2” made the charts in 2008 had just come from a performance engagement in Kentucky at the time of the arrest.
