Rapper Wiz Khalifa arrested, charged with felony drug possession
Rapper Wiz Khalifa is in prison following his arrest for felony drug possession.
Wiz Khalifa, born Cameron Jabril Thomaz, was arrested on the said charges last night following a concert at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
The authorities told the rapper that they detected a strong odor off marijuana emanating from his tour bus. The police asked to search the bus and found 60 grams of marijuana. Wiz Khalifa and nine members of his band and entourage were arrested by the police for questioning.
The rapper was charged with one felony count of trafficking in mariuana, one felony count of trafficking in marijuana, another felony count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale or storage of marijuana and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released Tuesday morning (EST) after posting a $300, 000 bond.
Wiz Khalifa had publicly claimed that he spends $10000 per month for marijuana, and had released his own brand of rolling papers to be used for smoking the drug,
