La Liga titans Real Madrid are reported to be planning to make a £48million bid for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

The Argentinean has tallied a total of 16 goals and 6 assists in all competitions for the Eastlands club in the ongoing 2013/14 campaign, helping City secure a temporary 3rd place in the English Premier League, only 2 points behind 2nd placed Chelsea.

The 26-year-old also helped City get past the group stages of the Champions League.

Real president, Florentino Perez, convened with City owner Sheikh Mansour in Dubai a few days ago, making known the former's interest of acquiring the services of the in-form Aguero, according to The Sun.

"It is certain that the club's interest in Aguero was discussed," a reliable informant told The Sun.

"No offer was made, it was more a conversation in which a possible deal was also brought up."
