Now that Manny Pacquiao has finally won after his two consecutive losses, there have been talks in the boxing mill that the most-awaited bout between the Filipino boxer and Floyd Mayweather Jr. must be finalized once and for all.

Pacquiao said he is willing to fight the undefeated boxer in an interview after his victory in Macau. "My job is to fight," he said. "I am willing to fight Floyd so it is up to him," he added.

Undoubtedly, the fight between Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao is going to be historical and exciting. As much as people would like to see the fight to take place, there are so many things to consider.

Here are the top five reasons the much-anticipated fight will not happen instantly.

Both Boxers' Promoters Do Not Work Together

Floyd's Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions do not work well with Bob Arum's Top Rank, which promotes Manny's fights. Top Rank once got involved in a legal dispute with Golden Boy Promotions in 2010. Golden Boy sued Top Rank accusing them of fraud. Arum denied the allegations, but the complaint was later settled. If a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao will be set, it will take a tedious process.

Floyd Is Signed Up With Showtime

HBO has always been a big distributor of boxing events in the U.S. Mayweather has been a long-time television partner of HBO until February 2013 when he signed a six-fight contract with Showtime. The unbeaten boxer still has four more fights with Showtime. It is Showtime for Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions and it is HBO for Top Rank.

Floyd Doesn't Need To Fight Manny To Elevate His Popularity

Mayweather has proven so much in his entire professional boxing career. There is really no need for him to fight Pacquaio to anchor his presence in the boxing arena.

The Fight Could Have Taken Place Long Time Ago

The fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao could have taken place a long time ago. It first made headlines in 2009. It is now 2013. Pacquiao's victory against Rios was a good win.

Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao fight will be a thrilling event and guaranteed to raise million dollars, but it may not be a sensible option.
