Porn film industry is one such place where personal and professional safety overlaps for most men and women who are directly involved in the business. It is an industry where millions of dollars get accompanied by painful life threatening Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) like HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and others.

California may soon turn into a condom-mandated state as far as porn films are concerned. The California State Assembly has recently come up with a bill stating absolute requirement of condoms in each and every porn shoots.

According to the report by TMZ, author, State Assembly man Isadore Hall, III, said “ it's all about workplace safety.”

He also claimed that STDs are extremely hard to control in the porn industry.

It is really important to practice safe sex in the entertainment industry.

As explained by TMZ, Hall referred to a study which was carried out in UCLA, showing 11% of female porn stars contracted gonorrhea while having sex with males who didn’t use condom.

The same study confirmed 15% of the women tested positive for Chlamydia infection. But during the last decade, there was no document of an HIV case directly from the porn industry.

While talking to TMZ, pornography production company Porn honchos told that they decided to leave California under the present situation.

Steve Hirsch , President of Vivid Entertainment, told TMZ that his company stopped producing movies in L.A. County because of the present mandatory condom law over there.

He also told that according to him the testing procedures which are presently in use in the porn film industry should be more than adequate.

As TMZ reported, one executive from a porn film industry said L.A country lost over $100 million a year because of the condom mandate. It was also found that the concerned agency that issued 480 permits for porn shoots in the year 2012, managed to issue just 40 permits in 2013 after condom law was passed. It issued 30 permits so far in 2014.
