'The Red Tent' Miniseries Based On Anita Diamant's Novel Airs From Dec. 7-8, 2014 On Lifetime [WATCH VIDEO]

Lifetime's "The Red Tent" miniseries which is based on Anita Diamant's 1997 novel of the same title will be aired from Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 to Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. Central. It stars Rebecca Ferguson (Dinah), Minnie Driver (Leah), Morena Baccarin (Rachel), Iain Glen (Jacob), Will Tudor (Joseph) and Debra Winger (Rebecca). Read on to learn more about it.

"The Red Tent" two-night miniseries on Lifetime is about Dinah's childhood and life as an adult woman, including her experiences with love and loss. Dinah and the other women in her tribe spend most of their time in the red tent to gather and share traditions as well as the struggles of being a female back in the day. Aside for Dinah's story, it also tells the story of Jacob and his four wives Leah (Dinah's mother), Zilpah, Bilhah and Rachel.

"The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant which was used as the basis of Lifetime's miniseries has been translated in 28 languages and sold around the world. It has been part of the top ten best sellers list of New York Times, Washington Post, Entertainment Weekly, Los Angeles Times, USA Today and San Francisco Chronicle.
