Redfoo’s alleged attacker has pleaded not guilty to throwing a glass at him. Arian Berisha has denied in court the charges assault occasioning actual bodily harm and reckless wounding on Wednesday.

In late August, the LMFAO singer, whose real name is Stefan Gordy, was hurt after a man allegedly threw a glass at his face while he was partying with his friends in a private area at the Golden Sheaf Hotel in Sydney.

According to a witness, a man who wasn’t part of Redfoo’s entourage suddenly threw a shiny object at the U.S. hitmaker. Redfoo went down in pain then started running after his attacker, who was caught by the security.

The NSW police said Redfoo suffered a cut above his right eye and was treated by paramedics at the scene, while the alleged attacker was arrested and charged. He is now facing reckless wounding and occasioning actual bodily harm.

That man was Berisha, 21, who appeared in Waverley Local Court with his lawyer Brian Wrench to deny the charges.

Wrench said that the police did not provide him with a statement of facts, so he had been forced to rely on Twitter for information.

“We’re not aware of the case against Mr Berisha, we’ve had to rely on Twitter, so we’re seeking a statement of more than 140 characters if possible,” the solicitor said.

“Unfortunately, it’s been a bit of a trial by media.”

Berisha is due back in court on November 13. He remains out on bail.

Shortly after the incident, Redfoo replied to a fan’s tweet asking about his condition, saying that his attacker was just jealous.

@Joshayyyy21 jealousy is a hell of a drug!
