Several days after Donna Summer died, another music legend passes away after failing to defeat a battle with cancer.

Robin Gibb, who was a member of the iconic music group, Bee Gees, had fought for his life against colon and liver cancer since the middle parts of 2010.

Rolling Stone gave reports about his diagnosis of a second tumour with his treatments occurring with a complication of pneumonia. He went into a coma since April. Gibb's passing away was confirmed through his official Twitter feed.

Remembering the Bee Gees

Bee Gees was composed of brothers Maurice, Barry and Robin. They are one of the few music groups who reached the peak of their career during the 70's era of disco with hits such as 'Stayin' Alive' and 'How Deep Is Your Love.'

They formed their group way back during the 60s in Brisbanem and hit a world breaking record on sales that reached 200 million.

In fact, they still hold the record for the bestselling soundtracks at the third rank for the movie 'Saturday Night Fever.'

Robin Gibb's twin brother, Maurice, passed away in 2003 due to complications of twisted intestines. Their youngest sibling, Andy, died at a young age of 30 in 1988 when he was at the height of his career as a teen idol in the world of pop music.

After three decades of worldwide achievement in the music industry, the music that Robin Gibb and his brothers have created in their little world stays as a touchstone for unforgettable music and pop culture.
