Miley Cyrus has told People.com that Aussie actor and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth has proposed to her and that they are now a newly engaged couple!

The 19-year-old former 'Hannah Montana' star expressed her joy by saying that it felt like all her dreams have already come true. According to People, the 'Hunger Games' lead Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus last May 31 with a diamond ring of 3.5 carat.

It can be remembered that the two met right on the set of 'The Last Song' way back in 2009. On November of the same year, the two were quiet about their romantic relationship and come 2010 when Cyrus became more open about it.

In August of 2010, the two reportedly broke up but reconciled right after a month. It was during this month then that the pair denied they were already engaged. By March of 2012, it was once again reported that the two were engaged already when Cyrus tweeted a picture of her hand wearing a topaz ring.

The older brother of Hemsworth, Chris, did not confirm the engagement news but on Cyrus' end, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley's father tweeted and expressed his happiness for his daughter.

The jeweller, Neil Lane, said that Hemsworth asked him to make a ring that is not the usual. The young Aussie actor wanted it to be 'beautiful and romantic.'
