Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Denies Detailing Weight Loss
Republic New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, had a Lap-Band surgery. He is not willing to confirm or deny how much weight he has lost.
According to the New York Times, Chris Christie had reportedly told the GOP donors that he had lost 85 pounds since his weight loss surgery last Feb 2013. A few days later after it was reported, Christie said that he had not revealed any stats.
Chris told 101.5 a.m. radio last Sept 24 that he does not tell numbers and that the number was wrong, New York Daily News reported. He continued that the only other way to get to know the number was through Mary Pat, New Jersey's first lady. He wished whoever wants to try to get it out of her good luck.
The New York Times had claimed that, at a GOP fund-raising event last Sept 19 was hosted by billionaire David Koch in Manhattan, Chris had revealed the progress of his weight loss. It was reported that attendees, during a question and answer session, expressed concern over his health that is when Chris had given details of his weight loss. He reportedly said that his weight loss was a sign to his commitments to the party to enter the national stage.
He slammed all the news reports that had said that his weight loss was politically motivated. He said that he wasn't being an inspiration for other people to get healthy, but did it for his own health.
He insisted that he had lost weight only for health purposes and not so that he could run for the position of president in 2016. He continued that since he had turned fifty, he needed to do something about his weight. He said that he rarely discussed his weight loss publicly and that he had gone through the lap band surgery so that he could live longer for his family, his wife and four children.
Last Sept 23, he told ABC News, that the report in the 'New York Times' wasn't accurate, but he wasn't going to tell why it wasn't so. He added that he did not talk about such stuff as it was his business and no one else's.
