Emily Thorne brings up "destiny" in her wedding vow. She says she's been looking forward to her wedding day since she was a little girl. Then cut to Queen Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) getting 'cuffed. A handgun appears in a blur, then it's fired up into the sky. Then a visibly hurt Emily Thorne drops bloodied into the waters. "Who shot Emily?" says the Revenge 3x10 promo clip. (Watch below.)
A quick montage comes with the Revenge Season 3, Episode 10 promo video question. Tight shots of Victoria, Conrad (Henry Czerny), Daniel (Josh Bowman), Lydia Davis (Amber Valletta) and Charlotte appear to suggest any one of them could have shot Emily Thorne. Then again, these characters are probably the ones fans should rule out.
Who shoots Emily Thorne in Revenge Season 3? Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) and Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler) do not get a tight shot in the promo clip. Some revenger fans are pretty sure one of them shoots Emily Thorne in the winter finale episode. Kristin dos Santos of E! has narrowed down the list of suspects to four. Nolan and Jack are shortlisted. In this report, she gives five clues about Emily's shooter:
Someone who has always cared for Emily.
Someone who seems to have nothing whatsoever to gain from her demise.
Someone who is most definitely staying a part of the show beyond this season.
Someone who many of the fans totally root for.
Someone whose relationship with Emily will be changed forever.
It seems all five clues point to either Nolan or Jack. The use of "beyond this season" is quite curious, however. It hints there will a Revenge Season 4 and that someone important to Emily Thorne might not make it to the next chapter. If it's between Nolan Ross and Jack Porter, it makes more sense to lose the childhood sweetheart. Further, the series would lose some significant witty repartee without Ross.
"The wedding of the century has arrived and Emily's master plan is poised to go off without a hitch until enemies unite, bringing new complications and leading to dire consequences," says the Revenge Season 3, Episode 10 promo on TV.com.
