'Revenge' Season 3 Mid-Season Finale, 'Exodus' Review: Emily Thorne in 'Revenger' Reset Mode? [SPOILERS]
Who designed Emily Thorne's Wedding Dress?
"Revenge" Season 3, Episode 10 aka "Exodus" has finally answered for fans the biggest question of the season (thus far): Who shot Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) on her wedding night? Spoilers ahead. This review recaps the highlights of Revenge 3x10. Read at your own risk. The question now is: Does Emily Thorne hit "reset" to re-examine her revenger schemes?
Who shoots Emily Thorne on Revenge 3x10?
Many revengers on Twitter couldn't help themselves. Spoilers streamed in to newsfeeds as soon as the shooter was revealed on Revenge Season 3, Episode 10. Emily Thorne is shot and left for dead. "Exodus" makes sense in the light of a "departure" that sparks a new beginning. The shooter? He's definitely one of the four suspects in this report by Kristin dos Santos of E!
The shooter, a gentleman on most days (except when he's cheating on his fiancée), is no other than the groom, Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman). The ABC promo video has done a nice job including him in a montage of suspects that excludes Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) and Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler). Scroll down to watch the Revenge 3x10 Exodus sneak preview.
Highlights: What happened in the mid-season finale of Revenge Season 3?
Revenge 3x10 is the mid-season offering of the ABC drama. Things almost went on as planned, except Aiden (Barry Sloane) wasn't able to stop Lydia (Amber Valletta) from tattling out the real Amanda Clarke.
Patrick Harper (Justin Hartley) is back. There's no telling what this beloved son can do to Emily Thorne if and when they see each other again.
Daniel hears the truth about Emily Thorne /Amanda Clarke when Lydia tells Queen Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) the truth behind an old photo of the revenger.
Sarah (Annabelle Stephenson) has lost it on Daniel's wedding night. She tries to kill herself. The groom lost it, too. And then the groom learns he's been used and manipulated in an endgame against his parents for two crazy years. That's how he winds up pointing a gun at Emily Thorne. And from the looks of it, she is certainly very sorry.
Emily Thorne's Wedding Dress, Queen Victoria in Vera Wang
It's been reported that Emily Thorne's wedding dress had to be produced multiple times just so the crew could see how the gown falls and sprawls into the water. Revenge costume designer Jill Ohannesson has done a fantastic job!
Madeleine Stowe's Queen Victoria looked fabulous as well in an elegant dress from Vera Wang's Spring 2013 collection.
From production to story execution, Revenge Season 3, Episode 9 aka Exodus has a lot of desirable offerings. Forget how Aiden messed up in guarding Victoria. Forget how no one was watching Daniel. Most importantly, forget that all that Emily Thorne wants to do is frame Victoria for a murder. Everything looked fantastic, every character made up like royalty, and the show is still not so very predictable, after all. In fact, fans on social media are now asking: WTH happens next?
