"Revenge" Season 3 returns on Jan. 5 with a twist yet again. Spoilers indicate Emily Thorne recovers from the events that took place in the mid-season finale. She may be in for a major revenger reset. Meanwhile, Revenge showrunner Sunil Nayar talks about the possibility of Josh Bowman leaving the show.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains spoilers from the 2013 episodes of Revenge Season 3. Major spoilers for the next 2014 episodes included. Read at your own risk. The drama series is on holiday, but its winter premiere air date is fast approaching -- Jan. 5.

Daniel Grayson is devastated to learn that Emily Thorne has manipulated him from Day 1. The winter finale revealed he is the one who shot Emily on the night of their wedding. The poor man has to break up with his first love Sarah, only to learn that he's been a puppet all along.

Considering the hell that Daniel has been put through, it will not be surprising for the character to lose it, eventually. But is Josh Bowman, the actor playing Daniel Grayson, really leaving the show? Nayar responds to rumours that Emily VanCamp's on- and off-screen beau could be out by Revenge Season 3 finale.

"I think (Josh Bowman), in his mind, just let it go to the nth degree...Coming out of it, anybody could die on Revenge at any time, so it wasn't an insane thing to say, but we love Josh and obviously we have plans for his character," Nayar was quoted by E! Online.

It seems Bowman has hinted in a previous interview that he is ready to leave Revenge Season 3, possibly to explore new avenues in his career. The way Nayar puts it, fans should not expect the young Mr Grayson to leave so soon.

Major spoiler ahead. When Revenge Season 3 returns, Emily Thorne will be in hospital, suffering from (perhaps faking) amnesia. Daniel Grayson, who now knows her motives and schemes, will be trying to figure out whether she remember him as the gunman.

Meanwhile, Nolan Ross and Patrick Harper will add up to the problems that Queen Victoria Grayson has to face. Spoiler photos reveal she'll find herself in 'cuffs, too. This said, Revenge Season 3 may not be the final season of the series. However, an extension beyond a fourth season is not a good idea for some fans. Emily Thorne has stretched her revenge long enough, hasn't she?
