'Revenge' Season 4 Spoilers: Daniel, Emily In Twisted Friendship; David Clarke Mystery Growing (Review, Updates)
"Revenge" Season 4, Episode 9, titled "Intel," airs Sunday, Nov. 30, on ABC. There is no new episode this week to give way to the American Music Awards 2014. Here are spoilers on the previous episodes, with updates on a twisted friendship developing between Daniel Grayson and Emily Thorne. Meanwhile, the David Clarke mystery continues to grow.
Spoiler alert: This update contains spoilers on Revenge Season 4. Read at your own risk if you have not watched the previous episodes.
Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman) learns from Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) that Emily Thorne is the real Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp). In Revenge Season 4, Episode 8, he drops by at Emily's place and finds his ex-wife crying. He tells her not to give up on her father just because things are not okay at the moment.
There is something heartwarming in the scenes between Daniel and Emily since he's learned of her real identity in Revenge Season 4, Episode 6.
Daniel finally understands the real deal, and it seems he accepts that he's gone through hell over the sins of his parents. All that matters now, he tells Emily in Revenge 4x7, is that he should be left out of the next vengeful chapter. And Emily agrees.
That Daniel still wants to know if any of their romance in the past was real on Emily's part is a sign that he is no longer as wrathful as he used to be. Answers have brought him to a place in which he could leave the darkness behind, including his mother.
The next Revenge Season 4 episodes could bring Emily and Daniel together, and this time both will be honest and real.
Meanwhile, Emily is too focused on digging for information about her father's post-jail past to notice Daniel, Ben (Brian Hallisay), or Jack (Nick Wechsler). The ending of Revenge Season 4, Episode 8 ("Contact") shows Emily ready to torture a man, who attempted to kidnap David (James Tupper) from Victoria's (Madeleine Stowe) hospital room.
Does Victoria know who's behind the efforts that saved David Clarke's life, yet made things more miserable for him as a result? David tells Emily this rival is more evil than Conrad Grayson. Revenge Season 4, Episode 9, aka "Intel," may have some answers.
