Bad news for Rihanna fans.

The Unapologetic singer had to cancel her show at the TD Garden in Boston as she reportedly contracted laryngitis after kicking off her Diamonds World Tour last Friday.

"Unfortunately, following her sold-out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening," a LiveNation statement announced.

The Barbados-born singer was very upset and took to Twitter to apologize to her fans for the cancellation.

"#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down." She also added, "I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down. I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"

The tour is set to go around 27 cities in New York, but it's still unclear whether the 25-year-old singer will be well enough to perform at her next scheduled show on Tuesday at Baltimore.

We're sure fans are sad about the news, but let's hope the world-famous singer's inflamed larynx would be healed by then and she'll be able to continue the tour in Maryland as scheduled.

Maybe a little TLC from Chris Brown could help?

Reports say that Brown texted Rihanna immediately after he found out that his love was suffering from laryngitis to make sure she was all right.

"He was just chopping it up with her, telling her how much he wants her to get better and how he misses her, s*** like that," the source revealed to Hollywood Life. Brown also reminded her to "chill out and sip tea because she's got a long way to go" with the concert.

Chris Brown's girlfriend debuted her world tour with a stunning performance in Buffalo, New York, rocking the stage in an astounding variety of sexy outfits during the show.

"You guys are all rockstars. There is only one first show, you all have a special place in my heart," she announced to the jam-packed crowd.
