Rihanna Cancels Tour the Second Time, Horribly Ill, or Horribly Drugged?
It seems like Rihanna's horribly ill.
Days after allegedly taking at Body Party singer Ciara via Instagram, the R&B princess surprised fans when she again cancelled the third leg of her world tour.
The first date of her tour in Buffalo went well enough, but her Sunday show in Boston was cancelled due to a bad case of a flu coupled with laryngitis. Not an especially good mix up for a star set on a world tour.
Following this, she postponed another show in Baltimore that was supposed to happen this Tuesday night.
Concert promoter Live Nation said in a statement that "Rihanna is still recovering" and that fans "are instructed to retain their tickets pending rescheduling show date information."
The Bajan singer has worked too hard to get this Diamonds tour going, but her condition right now is taking a toll on things. It is no secret how much the singer is taking marijuana, based on her Instagram posts, making fans wonder if her marijuana addiction is making her a "slacker," and taking its toll on her health.
Riri's loyal fans who have "found love" in her songs aren't the only ones who are upset. Chris Brown's girlfriend is also very miffed over the whole thing, tweeting countless apologies beginning the first cancellation.
The Barbados-born singer wrote on Twitter over her Boston show cancellation, "#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down." Riri then added, "I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down. I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"
Apparently, Brown's pep talk at the Emerson Theatre in Hollywood and his comforting text messages didn't do the trick.
Despite everything that's happened, let's hope Philly wouldn't turn out to be an entirely "hopeless place" for fans.
The next stop on Riri's tour is Philadelphia today. The 25-year-old is supporting her seventh album Unapologetic, which features billboard hits such as Diamonds and Stay.
