Rihanna and Drake's relationship is official: Rapper posts touching message on Instagram
The public has been heavily swooning over Drake and Rihanna for months now, and it all reached an all time high during the MTV VMAs. Almost as if Drake’s introductory speech of Rihanna sealed the deal, the two have officially admitted their relationship.
That is, according to a source of Entertainment Tonight that is reportedly close to Rihanna. “They are fully dating,” the source said. “No one really knows how long they have been 'official' -- they just decided to let it become a thing instead of hiding it from everyone. They're happy.”
This news is coming just days after Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards, where Rihanna was awarded the coveted Video Vanguard Award, which Drake had the opportunity to present to her. "We love the music, which can change styles from album to album," the 29-year-old started. "We love the videos which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn't changed from day one."
He also admitted that he has been in love with his “Work” collaborator for some odd seven years now. "She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old,” he stated. “All my adult life, I've looked up to her."
Right before giving the award, Drake called Rihanna a “living, breathing legend.”
According to E! News, the two celebrated after the awards show by heading to Carbone for a dinner party, which Rihanna’s family also attended.
The night after, Rihanna and Drake dined at Novu. Around 11 p.m. that night, the two musicians made their way to Rihanna’s apartment. After which, they made their separate ways to The Blond, where the publication claims Rihanna sported one of Drake’s button downs as a dress.
The two have reportedly left New York City and will be continuing their celebrations in Florida, where Drake has a scheduled concert.
And as if all that was not enough, Drake also posted a touching message and photo on his Instagram account.
