Why was Rihanna not present on her pal Katy Perry's and Russell Brand's wedding? Apparently, Rihanna missed Katy Perry's Indian-themed wedding to Brand because of work.

Rihanna told E! Online that: "The only reason I couldn't make it was I was really really swamped with work."

"I've got an album coming out in two weeks, I have a lot going on, I just switched management...I needed to be close"

There's no animosity brewing between Perry and Rihanna, even if the latter missed Perry's wedding. Rihanna said that her friend Perry understood, owing to the fact that Perry herself is a pop star. Rihanna's new album, Loud, is set to be released on November 10.

Some reports say that Rihanna did not attend friend Perry's wedding in North Rajasthan, India, because of poor cellular and internet connectivity in the area, a reason which was not well received by some sectors from India. But fortunately, Perry understood.

Rihanna said she was lucky to be able throw Perry a bachelorette party. The pop star is currently pretty much occuppied these days. Aside from Loud, she also has a behind-the-scenes photo book coming up.

Pop star Perry and comedian Brand got married in a private ceremony in India. Perry and Brand were wedded by a Christian minister, although the bride and the groom were dressed in traditional Indian attire.

The wedding ceremony was celebrated at the Aman-e-Khas luxury resort outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary.
