Rihanna Finally Dates After Two Years, But With a Girl

She admitted that she was happily single, but just recently, Rihanna headed out for a date after two years. And to the surprise of everyone it was with her best friend Melissa Forde who she referred to as "my lover."

According to onlookers, the two seem more affectionate than normal. And while they put a public display of closeness, rumors sparked once again abut Rihanna's sexuality.

"#datenight my lover for the night @mforde11," the 24-year-old wrote on her Twitter account. "Bawse b***h who's submissive yet the captain of the ship n HONEST... #priceless #marryME," she added.

The singer also took snaps during her date night and posted it on Instagram. She took a photo of her suspender tights and a picture of both her and Melissa inside the Santa Monica restaurant Giorgio Baldi.

The singer wore a white dress unbuttoned from the bottom up to reveal her suspenders and sheer black tights. After their dinner, the two headed out to The Roxbury Nightclub.

Back in 2011, Rihanna was rumored to have had a lesbian relationship with Natasha Burton, who spoke about the "affair" in her book "Low Down Dirty Shame."

"I wasn't sure I could take her serious, so I took it one day at a time. We instantly had a connection. I could listen to her for hours, discuss media, music and fashion," Natasha wrote.

Cee Lo Green also said that while he toured with Rihanna before, he noticed that the singer had a huge lesbian fan base.

"Let me be specific. Rihanna has a large lesbian community that comes out to see her shows. Cause she does a lot of girl-on-girl kind of stuff. It's very racy and sexually charged. And I like that. I like aggressive and sexually liberated women. It's hot to me," he said.

The last person Rihanna was romantically linked to was Ashton Kutcher after she was spotted leaving his house at the wee hours in the morning. She later cleared out that the rumors were not true.
