Rihanna finishes new album, to premiere new song "Only Girl (In The World)"
Rihanna announced at her official website Rihanna Daily that she has finished recording her new album. The 22-year-old singer said her new album is the next step in the evolution of herself while thanking her fans for consistenly defending her.
"I'm done recording the whole album.. I made sure not to let you down with my music!," the "Disturbia" pop star said. "You guys are always defending me, so now you've got some great songs to justify it. I didn't want to go backward and remake Good Girl Gone Bad. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna, and it's perfect for us."
Late last month, Rihanna revealed in her Twitter account that a new single from the star will be released on the radio within two weeks. In a tweet, Rihanna said that she will send Ryan Seacrest "something special" to play "over and over."
"Soon! In less than 10 dayz ima send u sumn special," Rihanna said in her tweet to Seacrest, "ur gonna play it OVER and OVER, like I'm the only girl in the world!"
Rihanna rendered vocals to Eminem's rap "Love The Way You Lie" which reigned in the airwaves, giving the Barbadian singer her sixth hit single. She has now six number 1 songs on the Pop song radio airplay chart. Will "Only Girl (In The World) be her seventh?
Rihanna will premiere her new single on Sept. 7 at 3AM PST/6AM EST.
