Rihanna: Potty Shoe-d Celebrity [VIDEO]
Known for her extreme fashion sense, Rihanna makes another atrocious move with a shoe-win performance on X-Factor.
Rihanna is no stranger to those scandalous and downright skimpy attires that show just every inch of her superstar body. So far her chosen footwear for her performance on X-Factor U.K. this week tops the chart.
Conservative especially for this radio giant, Rihanna hit the stage wearing an Alexander McQueen schoolgirl-like tartan dress and laddered tights. Her hair in ringlet curls could have passed off her look as innocent if it were not for the singer's shoes with the words "F**ck Off" scrawled on them.
Rihanna's shows said to be a custom job was designed by Ashish Gupita but the original shoe was simply a blank canvass meaning all the swearing was the singer's idea.
How did the family-friendly programming cover up for the appalling footwear? Well, the audience may have been offended by the message scrawled on the superstar's shoes but the spokesperson for the show says otherwise.
"There were no close-up shots of Rihanna's shoes," says the spokesman who was obviously sticking up for the artist. "We believe the performance was suitable."
Despite 45000 complaints for her last year's performance on the show, Rihanna's efforts to tone down her raunchiness far improved if only her shoes weren't as loud-mouthed as her personality.
What else made the Brits blush apart from her scandalous shoes?
The singer's video for "We Found Love" has apparently been banned from being broadcast before 10 p.m. in France. France's officials at the Supreme Audiovisual Council had deemed Rihanna's music video as inappropriate because it included sex, domestic violence and sex.
UK's Rape Crisis Centre also agrees with the Supreme Audiovisual Council deeming Rihanna as a "disgrace" specifically for the part in the video where the singer was spanked on her behind which was marked with the words "mine".
"It sends the message that she is an object to be possessed by men, which is disturbingly what we see in real violence cases," says a spokesperson to The Daily Star.
Rihanna sure loves to make trouble wherever she goes and so do her videos.
