A journalist from United Kingdom's "Esquire" magazine has become the latest to incur the wrath of singer Rihanna after daring to press her about having recent contact with her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The pop star who has developed a reputation for being particularly feisty during interviews lashed out at the writer on several occasions when she was asked to explain why she had collaborated with Brown on two of their latest singles.

"This is turning into a tacky interview. What do you really want to talk about? I'm not here to talk about messy s**t," Rihanna said. The "Talk That Talk" Barbadian recording artist is quickly earning herself a reputation as one of the most guarded stars to sit down with.

During interviews, Rihanna always made one thing clear: If you ask the personal questions, she will not "Talk That Talk" or otherwise, she will just walk away. No discussion about her past with Chris Brown. No questions about her rumored relationship with Ashton Kutcher.

"It upsets me that you keep asking the same kind of questions about stuff that's trivial. What's there to talk about? Are all your questions like that?" the 24-year old Rihanna fired back. Meanwhile, the interviewer tried to justify the exchange with Rihanna by stating that some people felt that her collaborations with Brown sent the wrong message and that she had gone back to the man, who in the first place, put her in the hospital.

With that, Rihanna cleared that she only got back with Chris Brown in a completely professional note and environment. "I mean, if I went back to him as a girlfriend, then that's a whole different discussion," she explained.

Earlier in the interview, Rihanna was a little more forthcoming. The "Battleship" star said that the backlash and negative attention about her "Birthday Cake" and "Turn Up The Music" collaborations with Brown had just caught her off-guard.

"In my mind, it was just music. I could never see anything wrong with making music. They are interested in a lot of things. A lot of things that don't matter or shouldn't," Rihanna said.

The beauty from Barbados has also explained that it had never occurred to her how her music collaboration with Brown was going to be a problem. Rihanna thought people will be surprised that they finally did a record together after what happened between them in the past. However, she did not see how people could react and think that it was a bad thing.
