Rihanna Warned by Instagram, Asked to Remove Topless Photo
While the world went crazy about Rihanna's topless avatar, Instagram asked her to remove the image from the photo-sharing Web site as it apparently breached nudity rules of the company.
Rihanna was seen on the cover of Lui, a men's magazine in France. She was seen wearing only a pair of pink bikini bottoms while sunbathing on a patio chair. Rihanna shared the NSFW image on her Instagram account on Tuesday, April 29. However, she was asked to remove the photo from Instagram for violating nudity rules. She was also warned that she would be banned from the social networking Web site if she was found sharing such risqué images again.
Rihanna, on the other hand, was quite a sport on the ruling by Instagram. Unlike many other celebrities who might have reacted vehemently, she made fun of it. She posted another photo where she was seen entirely clothed and rather shabby. It was titled: "Rih's (Rihanna's) next magazine cover if it was up to Instagram." Rihanna took refuge to Twitter since the ban on Instagram and started sharing the topless image on the micro-blogging Web site.
Rihanna has never been shy of exposing her bosom to the camera. This may have been the reason why the singer did not hesitate to share the nipple-baring image to her 13 million followers on Instagram. Even though Instagram found the image rather offensive, several celebrities at the iHeartRadio Music Awards apparently expressed their admiration of Rihanna's bare assets.
A YouTube video on the red carpet of the award ceremony shows Lord Kraven appreciating Rihanna for "pushing the bar." He said that people loved the "dare-devil" singer who kept "pushing the envelope." Mya said that there should be exceptions of rules for certain people like Rihanna. Rihanna's breasts were apparently a hot topic at the show where many celebrities were seen talking about Rihanna's bare breasts on the magazine cover and Instagram's ban.
