"Riverdale" season one will officially come to a close with its chapter 13 titled "The Sweet Hereafter." With Clifford Blossom (Barclay Hope) revealed as the one who murdered his son "Jason Blossom," the attention shifts on whether the elder Blossom did actually commit suicide or not.

There is growing belief that someone else is involved and it is not FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich). After initially taking the fall, FP remains behind bars for some reason. He is an element in the whole mess, something that dates back to the time he was handed a bag full of money by Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols).

In episode 12, "Anatomy of a Murder," the bag was recovered from the apartment of "Mustang." It seemed Hermione would be tied up to the mix before Veronica (Camila Mendes) diverted the blame to his father, Hiram Lodge who will be portrayed by Mark Consuelos according to TV Line. From that scene alone, another twist looms and parts of it could be up in the season finale.

Lodges not in the clear

Hence, the Lodges are not totally in the clear. Hiram Lodge could make an appearance in the finale so expect a diabolical debut from the character described as a ruthless, handsome and charismatic businessman. Hermione Lodge did tell Veronica that her dad was finally coming home after serving jail time for a financial scandal.

Hiram could instantly be the new heel in the series though more connections are likely. The Southside Serpents are still in play, meaning Joaquin (Rob Raco) is still expected at some point. If not, there could be another serpent in the mix – possibly a new member of the "Riverdale" cast.

Something Supernatural is coming

Looking at the characters from Archie comics, there is still one who has yet to be seen. Though she wasn’t that actively associated with Archie, Ronnie, Betty and Jughead, Sabrina Spellman, the teenage witch, is speculated to be joining "Riverdale" soon.

If so, the person most believe will be playing the part is Dove Cameron. She has been teasing her involvement on the show via Twitter, so Sabrina could be a new addition in the season finale.

Sabrina’s addition thus teases the addition of a supernatural side which hardly comes as a surprise. For those who have followed "Riverdale," most will agree that the showrunners have somehow adopted a certain kind of flair similar to "Stranger Things" and/or "Twin Peaks."

Considering "Riverdale" has been plagued by mysteries, adding the teenage witch makes a bit of sense. But what role will Sabrina have in the current storyline? Will it be integrated into the current one and add more mystery to the "Jason Blossom" murder? Make sure to catch the season finale "The Sweet Hereafter" of "Riverdale" later on Netflix Australia.
