Every girl would always think about her dream wedding. For English supermodel Kate Moss, her wedding to rock star Jamie Hince in the Cotswolds caused roads to be shut off to residents. Some residents were reportedly upset by the tight security and road closures yet a large group of people waited to catch a glimpse of the wedding party.

Gloucestershire County Council confirmed that it had closed the road outside St Peter's Church, Southrop. There was also a large police deployment during the event. There were 35 officers that blocked a village for Kate Moss's wedding comprising of one inspector, 5 sergeants and 29 PCs. The couple are said to be holding a festival-themed, three-day party. The Gloucester Police devoted 350 man hours to helping the model enforce a 2.7-mile exclusion zone around the church where she married.

The total cost of the police operation in the village of Southrop, Glos, is estimated at around £10,000. A spokesman said the force would not be footing the bill. "The event organizers are to pay the costs in full with relation to this event." The spokesman added: "Our priority is to ensure there is minimal disruption to the village due to this event. This is due to the potential large increase in number of people and vehicles in the village."

Outside the church, a mile from Kate's £2million luxury farmhouse in Little Faringdon, locals complained that the supermodel was being treated like the Queen and they were furious about the lack of access. Villagers and guests had to use permits to enter Little Faringdon, Oxfordshire, and Southrop, Gloucestershire. However, Gloucester Police said that no formal complaint from the locals had been reported with the force. According to Mirror, a local named Emma Kenworthy, 59, in an interview said that at the time of the wedding: "The closures just happened out of the blue. It is ridiculous - you can't even walk your dog."
