Rob Kardashian receives offer to endorse diabetes lifestyle and meal planning company
Former reality TV star Rob Kardashian has just been hit with another setback when he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes over the Christmas holidays. However, there appears to be a silver lining to his situation. Apart from finally getting a "wake up call" that should force him to adopt a healthier lifestyle, he has reportedly been offered thousands of dollars to help promote Five Hour Diabetic, a company that makes customised meals for diabetics.
According to TMZ, The former “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star has been offered approximately US$100,000 (AU$142,000) to become the company’s spokesperson. All that Five Hour Diabetic needs is to be able to use Kardashian's image in their social media posts and advertising materials.
The deal also comes with free meal plans and medical consultations, which should eventually help Kardashian get his condition under control. It has been reported that he has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, a form of the disease which is manageable with proper diet and exercise.
Kardashian has struggled with weight gain in recent years, which led to his condition. Having a specialised meal plan and free medical consultations could be very beneficial for him, if he decides to go for it.
A strict regimen and endorsement contract might just be what Kardashian needs, to keep him on track. Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that he no longer lives with his older sister, Khloe Kardashian. The siblings used to live together in Khloe’s Calabasas mansion, and in her book, "Strong Looks Better Naked," she admitted that she would always coddle him and attend to his needs. "I was constantly checking up on him, making sure he had the food he liked, seeing if he needed anything from the store, asking what I could do to make him more comfortable,"
Khloe now concedes that their other sisters might have been right when they said that what she was doing might not have been the best for her brother. Despite the family’s growing concern, they are reportedly not planning an intervention, contrary to some recent reports.
