Weeks after the controversy, Rob Pattinson bravely did an interview with Jon Stewart. The actor finally spoke, but indirectly about Kristen and he carried it in a joke.

For the "Twilight" actor's first appearance on television since the news broke out about Kristen Stewart's affair with Rupert Sanders, the "Comedy Central" host Jon Stewart, brought out Ben and Jerry for Rob to snack on.

Although Kristen's name was never mentioned throughout the interview, it was quiet obvious what the ice cream was for. During the episode, Jon joked, "The world has ended!" The host was referring to the couple who obviously were the "golden couple" for the teen generation.

"It has! That was my attempt to joke," Rob replied. The audience let out an "Awww" but the actor was quick to respond that it was his way to lighten things up.

One of those in the live audience said that Rob seemed awkward and clearly anxious about being back on television. Probably knowing that in one time or another, questions about Kristen are bound to be asked.

"Awkward and kinda sad at parts but it was still handled with class and with touches of humor," another audience said.

Rob has finally emerged back in the spotlight to promote his new film "Cosmopolis." Indeed it was a brave move for Pattinson, who has been on the news for quite some time now since Kristen's pictures with Rupert Sanders surfaced.

On the other hand, Kristen has reportedly cancelled her red carpet appearance for the premier of her movie "On the Road." Sources say that the young actress is still "ashamed" to step out in public.

"Kristen won't be doing the red carpet for On The Road - she's too ashamed to show her face in public right now," a source said on Radar Online.
