Robert Pattinson soared to stardom with his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga, although after making three films, he is still clueless as to why the vampire franchise causes so much frenzy.

Pattinson admits that he has gotten used with the tabloids and fans being fascinated with him and his Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

"It can get a little boring. The good news is that the whole thing is done in seven months," he told the New York Times newspaper.

"I've learned to let it go a bit, but I'm still really bothered by it. The more you are exposed, the more people irrationally hate you. I think we reached a point, a peak, with New Moon where the stories became so saturated into the culture that it started to feel normal.

"It's like the tabloids don't know what to write anymore because they've used up all their scandals."

Meanwhile, the final movie in the series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn", will be cut into two parts, as the producers say that the fourth book of author Stephenie Meyer is too complex to be made into one single movie.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" hits cinemas on June 30.
