Robert Pattinson was allegedly disturbed with Breaking Dawn Part 1's filming of the "violent" sex scenes with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. According to reports, that Pattinson had "freaked out" and had asked if a double for Kristen could be used for the scenes, instead.

In the final novel of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Saga, the intimate moments between the newly wedded Bella Swan and Edward Cullen is left out, but it could be inferred that the nights for the couple had been violent with Kristen's character covered with bruises in the morning. The treatment for the scenes will be apparently more in the face in the movie adaptation.

The violence is due to Edward Cullen's strength as a vampire which may have gone out of control in moments of passion with his new wife Bella Swan. Robert Pattinson might have been afraid that if he channels the violence brought by Edward's nature, he might hurt Kristen.

"Robert Pattinson, about to shoot steamy 'Breaking Dawn' honeymoon scenes with real-life honey Kristen Stewart in Brazil, started shaking, panicking and actually tearing up just before cameras rolled for the ultra-violent sex session where he nearly crushes his new bride with his superhuman vampire strength and leaves her badly battered and bruised," reports the National Enquirer.

Thus, Robert had reportedly asked for a double for Kristen to film the scene. Enquirer quotes the Hollywood heartthrob as saying, "Can't we use body doubles? Kristen is so slight, I can't stand the thought of hurting her."

However, he was prevailed upon by Stewart to go on filming the scene with her.

The Hollywood couple was in Brazil as part of their shooting for the two-part finale The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn directed by Bill Condon. It will hit theatres on November 18th next year.
