We may soon hear the wedding bells for British actor Robert Pattinson and his girlfriend Kristen Stewart as they seemed to be getting more serious in settling down.

Rob and Kristen are taking some big steps in making their relationship work, which includes buying some new property together. When the cheating scandal broke, Rob moved out of their shared home and the two were living separately for a while. But it sounds like they are ready to move back in together and move forward.

Rob and Kristen seemed to be ready to tie the knot and move back in together after living separately for a while. They are moving in together in two continents as they are eyeing houses in New York and London.

"After spending more time [in London] in recent months, Rob's decided he wants to split his time more between London and Los Angeles. He wants to put down roots in London and he's doing it with Kristen," a source said.

"[Rob] told [Kristen] that if she wants to make things work, she's going to have to accept that he wants to spend much more time in London. They decided to base themselves in Richmond, South-West London, so Rob can be close to his parents' home in Barnes. Rob knows the area as he attended Tower House, a prep school near Richmond Park. So his dad Richard put him in touch with an estate agent who lined up appointments," the source continued.

Last week, HollywoodLife.com quoted a source that the couple would also like to have a base in NYC. They may have decided to completely leave their mansion in Los Angeles and put it up for sale.

Last year, Kristen Stewart was caught in a scandalous affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders. Photos of the two spread like wildfire on the Internet, which damaged the relationship of Rob and Kristen as well as Sanders' marriage. Both publicly apologized for the scandal.

Recently, the couple was seen in London having a good time together. The couple spent the New Year's together in London. Gossip website Metro UK reported that "this is the third year the pair have shunned showbiz New Year's Eve parties in favour of a more private celebration of their own on the Isle of Wight in the Victorian town of Ventnor."

Settling down in London seemed to be the couple's way to gain assurance in each other's loyalty. The two will be separated by work commitments as Rob will head to Australia this month for the shoot of his upcoming movie "The Rover". Kristen, on the other hand, will be busy for the sequel of "Snow White and the Huntsman".

The Twilight couple neither confirmed nor denied the rumours surrounding their relationship.
