Twilight couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had a rough year but that is all going to change as the pair is making huge changes in their relationship.

Rob and Kristen seemed to be ready to move back in together after living separately for a while. They are moving in together in two continents as they are eyeing houses in New York and London.

"After spending more time [in London] in recent months, Rob's decided he wants to split his time more between London and Los Angeles. He wants to put down roots in London and he's doing it with Kristen," a source said.

"[Rob] told [Kristen] that if she wants to make things work, she's going to have to accept that he wants to spend much more time in London. They decided to base themselves in Richmond, South-West London, so Rob can be close to his parents' home in Barnes. Rob knows the area as he attended Tower House, a prep school near Richmond Park. So his dad Richard put him in touch with an estate agent who lined up appointments," the source continued.

Last week, HollywoodLife.com quoted a source that the couple would also like to have a base in NYC. They may have decided to completely leave their mansion in Los Angeles and put it up for sale.

However, one of the biggest challenges that couple has to face is Rob's family. Reports claimed that Pattinson's family is really opposed to him dating Kristen Stewart but the British actor is ready to defy his family for his girlfriend.

Rob's sisters, Lizzy and Victoria, have not yet forgiving Stewart for cheating on their brother. According to OK! Magazine via Hollywood Life, an insider said "Lizzy and Vic tried to talk Rob into ditching Kristen for good. They feel he looks like a chump for taking her back so quickly".

The insider added that "Rob has told his family to back off. If they keep making things difficult, Kristen just may get her wish - and Rob could push them away."

Rumours roamed around that British actor Robert Pattinson proposed to his girlfriend Kristen Stewart just as the year changes and fireworks light up the sky last New Year's Eve.

The couple spent the New Year's together in London. Gossip website Metro UK reported that "this is the third year the pair have shunned showbiz New Year's Eve parties in favour of a more private celebration of their own on the Isle of Wight in the Victorian town of Ventnor."

"Several media outlets suggested that since the Isle of Wight has special significance to Rob and Kristen, it would be the ideal place for Rob to propose," the report added.
