Fans may wish this was over a love child, but no, it isn't, it really is about the custody of their two dogs---Bear and Bernie.

Rpattz and Kstew may be on and off lovers but this battle shows that the "Twilight" stars are definitely off. The two are on a dispute on who would be keeping the two dogs that they both owned together.

Beore the problems, Stewart and Patitnson had been living together in Kristen's California house until Robert Pattinson had moved out in May. Rob had left the pooches in the care of his friends while he had work in Toronto, Canada and this is the reason KStew got mad.

"Things have gotten pretty nasty between Rob and Kristen in recent weeks. And since Kristen found out Rob has left the dogs with a friend, she's seeking lawyers' advice on getting sole custody. She's been warned it could cost up to $100,000 in legal fees," says a source in an interview with Grazia Magazine.

The two love birds talked about staying friends, but after rumors that Pattinson was dating the granddaughter of the King of Rock Elvis Presely, Riley Keough, things started to heat up.

It seemed that KStew found the dating rumors a little harsh on her side and sources say that she had sent friends over to get the dogs as "She was gutted when she found out about Rob and Riley, Kristen has started sending friends to pick up the dogs - she couldn't face seeing Rob. No one knows how they're going to work this out or where the dogs will end up."

One thing's for sure, we hope the dogs get the proper treatment they need.
