Young British actor Robert Pattinson put the entire Kristen Stewart affair behind him as he partied in New York City while promoting his new film "Cosmopolis."

According to reports, the betrayed Pattinson partied past midnight in celebration of his new movie, then turned up bright and early the next day at the New York Stock Exchange with another gorgeous grin on his face.

If looking good is the best revenge, "Twilight" actor Robert Pattinson is definitely doing fine. At the New York Stock Exchange last Tuesday, the heartthrob appeared wearing a dashing designer suit and sapphire silk tie matched with his gorgeous smile.

Robert Pattinson rang the stock market's opening bell together with his "Cosmopolis" director David Cronenberg. He smiled for photos, clapped with the crowd and soaked up the Wall Street scene that provides a backdrop for the upcoming thriller film that opens in cinemas on Friday.

"The ladies out in force to see Robert Pattinson ring the @NYSEEuronext opening bell," CNBC reporter Carl Quintanilla posted on Twitter along with a photograph showing more than a dozen of women gathered on the trading floor.

This marks the third major public event appearance of the 26-year old actor since photographs of "Twilight" co-star and girlfriend Kristen Stewart kissing married film director Rupert Sanders broke out and went viral.

Meanwhile, the heartbroken Pattinson first emerged from his seclusion for an interview on "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. As he sat on the interview chair, the actor admitted that he felt awkward but he steadfastly declined to really talk about Kristen Stewart even when he was served with ice cream. Robert Pattinson just shook his head, sat back and laughed when host Jon Stewart made attempts for the actor to open up. Afterwards, the conversation finally switched gears to the film "Cosmopolis" with Pattinson describing film director Cronenberg as the sweetest man in the world.

Pattinson also made a plea for professional support on his latest film.

"If any 'Twilight' fans tuned in, I genuinely want to make 'Cosmopolis' have a higher opening weekend than 'The Dark Knight.' But the problem is, it's only released in six cinemas. It's gonna be a challenge," Pattinson joked. He shared that he has reflected on himself by embracing the R-rated "Cosmopolis" script after building up his career on the much safe and stable "Twilight" franchise.

"Alright 'Twilight' fans, you need to start stacking on laps," Jon Stewart said. "Just buy like eight tickets," Pattinson jokingly suggested.
