Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christopher Waltz have hit the world premiere romantic-depression-era drama film, ‘Water for Elephants’ held at Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City Sunday April 17.

Rushing from the location set of Twilight series, 'Breaking Dawn', Pattinson arrived at the opening in his dashing dark gray suit.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that a throng of fans came screaming for the British heartthrob but the actor described for MTV News his experiences at the ‘Twilight’ film series as ‘quite different from the movie opening for ‘Elephants’.

"Well, not that different." Pattinson told MTV News said AceShowbiz. "They weren't very scream-y. They were very nice fans."

Reese Witherspoon who came in a dress could not be happier when she and co-star, Pattinson were greeted by a throng of ‘screaming’ fans.

"I think it's incredible because as movie actors we sort of work isolated and we don't get to see fans as often, so it's a nice experience to actually get to meet some of them and know they're excited for the film," Witherspoon was quoted as telling Entertainment Weekly by The Hollywood Reporter.

For Pattinson it was a ‘shock’ based on his experiences from the ‘Twilight’ series.

Pattinson said, according to The Hollywood Reporter, "It's a shock to the system. I was just thinking, we finished shooting this a year ago now, and it's suddenly like, oh yeah, 'Water for Elephants'. It's like someone slapping you in the face. It's quite nice."

Joining Patterson and Witherspoon is Academy Award winning supporting actor for his film, ‘Inglorious Basterds’, British actor, Christoph Waltz, described by AceShowbiz attending the premiere in a black suit.

The celebrity website also said that Pattinson’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart had earlier been reported coming to support her beau and ‘Twilight’ co-star.
