Robert Pattinson has two film projects in the works, realizing early on that his popularity as a teen heartthrob will not last long. He is willing to do everything just to get out of the 'vampire' roles that have stereotyped actors like him.

'Twilight' has made the good and bad side out of his career. It was the film that launched him to stardom and at the same time, it was just the only thing that will make anyone remember him for.

However, he is set to change the entire landscape by announcing that he is a part of 'Mission: Blacklist.' The movie is a military thriller which involves the capture of ex-Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. Pattinson is also reported to be a part of an indie-film like project called 'The Rover.'

In fact, Pattinson has already started treading a new path when he started appearing in other movies. In between the filming of the movie series, like 'Bel Ami,' another departure from his usual Edward Cullen role is the David Cronenberg-directed thriller, 'Cosmopolis.' Cosmopolis is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Many critics believe that Robert Pattinson still has a lot to prove outside 'Twilight.' With the huge fan base he has established, it won't be too hard to imagine him ending up as a household name in Hollywood even after his vampire days are over.
