Remember that scene from the first Twilight movie, back in 2007, where Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen catches an apple that had fallen from the tray of Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan?

Twilight readers might have thought that the hands-holding-an-apple cover of the first novel was taken from that scene, and that the hands were of Robert Pattinson's but it turns out that the cover used a hand model named Kimbra Hickey.

"It was major exposure for my hands," 40-year-old model told New York Post. "But nobody knew who I was."

Indeed, until Hickey came out to the press, Twilight fans just know her by the hands (and all this time, some even mistakenly) but not by name.

However, Hickey is not someone content to be unknown. If a fan happens to ride the train with Kimbra Hickey and she spotted you reading the Twilight novel, she'll readily reproduce that famous shot for the book. Apparently, Hickey goes around carrying an apple in her pocket.

"I see people reading it on the subway, and I say, 'Those are my hands! I'm a hand model!' " Hickey said. "I'm sure they think I'm crazy -- a crazy lady on the subway."

Hickey---at least, her hands---had her shot at Twilight fame (which produced the current Hollywood's hottest couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) back in 2004 when the photo shoot for the cover was done, and was paid $300 for what was a two-hour work.

Her preparation for the shoot involved filing her nails short for her hands to look younger.

Now, Kimbra Hikcey is banking on her Twilight connection to break into acting. Maybe, she has finally gotten tired selling apple-scented hand lotion in Twilight fan conventions.
