Robert Pattinson's New Girlfriend FKA twigs Gets Targeted By Online Hatred, Called 'Monkey Face'
Being compared with Robert Pattinson's ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart is taking a toll at English singer-songwriter FKA twigs. The 26-year-old rumoured girlfriend of Robert Pattinson has reportedly been the target of online hatred and racism from "Robsten" fans who believe that she is no way closer to Kristen. The London-based singer addressed the racist comments on her Twitter account saying it is "unacceptable."
FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, reportedly went public on her romance with the "Twilight" actor recently when she was spotted holding his hand on Venice Beach, Los Angeles on Sunday. This was enough to trigger the die hard "Twilight" fans who were still under the impression that Robert Pattinson's romance with K Stew is not over. Check out their picture here.
Following the picture of twigs with Rob, she became the target of "Robsten" fans online and her Twitter timeline got flooded with hate messages. Some haters made fun of her looks calling her "monkey faced" while others expressed their shock that they could not believe Rob actually kissed her. Check out some of the Tweets below.

The Gloucestershire-born singer, who is currently nominated for 2014 Mercury Prize and three MOBO awards, said on Twitter that she was "shocked and disgusted" at the amount of racism that she has been receiving in the past few weeks. The singer further wrote that racism is "completely unacceptable" in real world and she would not tolerated it in the virtual world either. Check out her angry Tweets below.

In her previous interview with Dazed magazine, the singer revealed that she is not new to racism in her life and she has been the target of it since childhood. She went out to say that she has no control over how she looked like and never found herself funny.
"I never really saw anything wrong with how I looked, it was more that certain people pointed things out to you about yourself. Either your hair's different, or the colour of your skin, or your features," revealed twigs in her interview with Dazed Digital.
"Half of my life I've had people staring at me because they think I'm funny-looking and ugly. The other half of my life I've had people staring at me because they think I'm fascinating," she added.
