Robin Thicke and Paula Patton: ‘I’m just trying to get her back!’
The "Blurred Lines" singer, Robin Thicke wants to reconcile with wife Paula Patton. Recently, he told a TMZ photographer that he wants to be back with Paula. "I'm just trying to get her back," said Robin after arriving at Washington D.C.
Last Friday, Paula decided to call off the marriage, and she wasn't impressed by Robin's attempt to save it.
Robin decided to meet Paula personally, and he flew to Canada where she was filming. However, things didn't work out as Paula turned him down.
Paula, 38, decided to put an end to their relationship after facing embarrassment over Robin's twerking performance with Miley Cyrus. Moreover, Robin also groped a young socialite Lana Scolaro's behind in August.
Reportedly, Paula felt "utterly disgusted" by Robin's raunchy performance with Miley at MTV Video Music Awards.
After the show, the actress had an argument with husband Robin Thicke saying that the racy performance which featured Miley twerking up against him, was quite insulting to her.
TMZ reported that Paula was furious because Miley changed the performance structure without any warning. Apparently, Robin was happy about it.
The actress talked about the performance in one of the episodes of "Watch What Happens Live" in September. She mentioned that she "wasn't surprised at all."
"Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your ... all my friends do it like that! I don't really know what the big deal is," said Paula during the show.
"I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking Molly [ecstasy]!"
However, Paula was hurt after the incident.
The parents of three-year-old Julian - Robin and Paula stated that the split was mutual.
"Robin wanted to save their marriage, but it was Paula's choice, and she ended it. Robin does not want this divorce," a source told Us Weekly.
Another source stated, "She is done with the marriage, but he was definitely fighting to stay together until the last moment. It is still cordial between them, but they are now figuring things out."
Currently, Robin Thicke is in Washington D.C. for a concert.
