If something that will get a mention in the history books (not for high school boys and girls) in times to come is Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke's infamous twerking performance at MTV's Video Music Awards 2013. It was shocking and outrageous. But, guess what, it was meant to be provocative reveals the man himself, Mr. Robin Thicke in a video interview with Star.

"We knew what we were getting ourselves into. We're entertainers, and the VMAs is the perfect place for a little shock and awe," Thicke shared with Star.

"Yeah, we kind of knew when we were in rehearsal. ... We were like, 'OK, if you touch me with your foam finger all over my c*****, obviously a few people are going to have something to say about this.' But that was the whole point. I mean, the whole point was to excite and provoke and entertain."

Cyrus has said that with her performance at the VMA, she was all set to raise eyebrows and entertain people with this kind of a shocker. And though she wore a skin-coloured two-piece and bent over on many occasions during the performance and once in front of Thick, the man said her performance wasn't sexual in nature.

"I thought it was silly and funny. She was being humorous and naughty. But it wasn't sexually charged at all."

"That's who she is and that's how she likes to dance. And she was just being herself and I was just being myself," Thicke said in the interview.

The performance has done its job pretty nicely, as it left many people offended, but many supported Cyrus' act like our "Monster Mother," Lady Gaga.

Robin Thicke also said that his wife, Paula Patton, loved his performance at the MTV VMA 2013. We bet she did. What do you think? Drop your comments below.
