Was Robert Pattinson made to choose his mom over longtime girlfriend, Kristen Stewart? When the scandalous photos of Kristen in the arms of another man created an earthquake in Hollywood, Rob’s mom was reportedly “unhappy” at the sight of anyone cheating on her son, and if there’s any person in the world who felt the pain brought by the scandal, it was Rob’s mom, Clare.

A source told Look magazine in a recent interview how Rob’s mom took his reunion with his girlfriend of four years, who had once broken his heart.

"[Clare] seemed very unhappy that he and Kristen got back together. She was incredibly shocked by those pictures of Kristen with Rupert and couldn't understand why anyone would want to cheat on her son," an insider was quoted as telling Look magazine.

Rob is apparently close to his mom, Clare. But he also has strong close connection to his sister. And both often visit Rob, especially on important occasions, as noted by IBTimes-AU in a separate report.

Were Rob’s mom and sister in town on his birthday before his second split from Kristen?

Clare has played a big role on Rob’s career. Working as a talent scout, it was Clare who got Rob his first modeling career during his teens and he began to search for his stars since then. Until he found, Hollywood. And Kristen.

Kristen had already visited Rob’s family at the beginning of their relationship. She visited London with Rob one Thanksgiving and other important event. But after her steamy summer fling with a film director, it was reported that Rob’s mom couldn’t stand Kristen.

"Rob is very close to his family and holds their opinion in high esteem, so when it came down to it he chose to stick with his blood rather than his heart," the insider said.

Rob is sure a family-oriented person. He has looked up to his mom and the relationship his parents have had, together, for years. And not being in a long-term relationship for himself, was not entirely what Rob has in mind.
