Robsten Romance: A Tragic Love Affair of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart [PHOTOS]

The “undying love” between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart has brought an “irony and tragedy” not only to the real life lovers but also to their millions of fans who have been helping in keeping their love alive by believing in what they have, against all odds.

The author of the vampire romance novels for the film adaptation of the Twilight franchise, Ms. Stephenie Meyer has described the Robsten Romance as both “ironic and tragic.”

And she has all the words and thoughts to back up her claim.

"Here's the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it's what they want," Meyer tells U.K.'s The Times.

Meyer pointed out that Robert and Kristen are not any ordinary spotlight-seeking celebrity couple in Hollywood.

"But that doesn't apply to Kristen and Rob," she continues, "That's what makes it kind of ironic and tragic.''

It was a big irony because Robert and Kristen have been put in a place where it is to die for for many Hollywood stars. They skyrocketed to stardom when they landed the most immortal characters for Edward Cullen (Robert) and Bella Swan (Kristen).

The fans wanted their love as immortal and undying as their characters. While on her promotional tours for her book, which has also been adapted for the upcoming film The Host, Meyer described this as ironic for Robsten and their romance.

The pair’s love for privacy is what makes it all worst when Meyer underscored that Robert and Kristen "don't enjoy the parts [of fame] that other people would. And I totally get that, because it would not be my thing either."

The love for Robert and Kristen is also a big tragedy. They have been under very close scrutiny by media - -their every move has been making the headlines. Contradicting reports have “sucked the blood” out of the couple’s relationship, until they decided to keep everyone guessing even more and to be more private than they already have been.

Meyer blamed herself on the impact made by her bestseller-turned-into-hit-films for the Twilight series, to Robsten's “tragic romance.” While she confessed there’s a great benefit to be part of one of the biggest collaborations in Hollywood’s film industry, the 39-year-old author was quick to pointed out its downside.

"At the same time -- and this is where the guilt comes from -- it's created this nice, peaceful place for me,” Meyer said, adding, "They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about."

Would Robert and Kristen do it again? Meyer casts her doubts.

“If they had the choice, I've no idea if they'd even do Twilight again. I just don't know. I think this has all come at a heavy price,'' Meyer was quoted as telling The Times UK.

The ironic and tragic love affair of Robert Pattinson has continued to take the world by storm. This despite the distance and time difference that separate the Twilight lovebirds.

Robert is still in Australia as of this writing despite reports that The Rover was earlier scheduled to wrap filming on March 16. Kristen for her part has made herself busy with Robert’s friends and their Twilight co-star, Taylor Lautner.

For her part, Meyer is currently busy promoting her book The Host a science fiction/romance novel published in 2010. It “introduces an alien race, called Souls, which takes over the Earth and its inhabitants.”

A native of Hartford, Connecticut, the 39-year-old author of the popular book that had been adapted into hit movies, ‘Twilight,’ wrote the popular novel as a wife of a Mormon with three children while cooking and in between naps of her kids.

Twilight, which had earned her $27 million, had made Robert and Kristen one of the most popular and highest-earning celebrities in Hollywood and made them household names and immense popularity worldwide. The celebrity couple has earned the love of millions of fans from all walks of life
