Rock Singer Ian Watkins Guilty Of Pedophilia And Attempted Rape Of A Baby?
Ian Watkins, rock singer of the band, "Lostprophets," pleaded guilty to numerous child sex cases. BBC UK reported this included the attempted rape of an infant.
Although the prosecution accepted the verdict on the attempted sexual assault of a below 13-year-old kid, it noted Watkins was not guilty of rape. According to Prosecuting Member Chris Clee QC, the lead singer of the successful rock band accepted the fact that he was a "committed pedophile."
Details Of the Case
The rock singer admitted one count of having extreme porn image of having sex with an animal, six counts of taking, creating and possessing indecent pictures of children, including three counts of sexual assault of children. One of the laptops taken from his home came with a password that contains sexually obscene activities with kids and was sent to the GCHQ to be unlocked. During the court hearing, it was discovered that all the files were filmed in many hotels around London and the southern part of Wales. There were also two women beside Watkins who abused their own kids sexually and even offered them for the singer to abuse.
Sky News added that further evidence became apparent with the text messages exchanged between Watkins and the woman as they discussed a variety of plans on how to even turn the children and babies to become sex slaves.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Doyle considered the case as one of the most terrifying and shocking cases of child abuse he has ever encountered in his career. He added it was a clear case of someone abusing his own status as a celebrity to abuse the young and helpless children.
Watkins and two other women will receive their sentence by Dec. 18, according to NY Daily News.
