Rocker Prince spreads his faith
Rocker Prince goes out door-to-door to spread the his religious beliefs, and try and get others to convert, a recent interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper revealed.
The Purple Rain singer has been a devout Jehovah's Witness since he converted in 2001 to fulfill his mother Mattie Shaw's dying wish.
Although people are often shocked to have a pop superstar call at their house to talk about God, Prince insists most individuals are "cool" with him.
"Sometime people act surprised when I'm at their house, but mostly they're cool about it," he said.
"My hair is capable of doing a lot of different things. I don't always look like Prince."
His faith, a form of Christianity whose followers believe the Bible is scientifically and historically accurate, means he accepts angels, the winged messengers of God, exist.
When asked about his faith The 52-year-old music legend said, "There are good angels and bad angels."
Prince, who was known for his sexually explicit lyrics, outrageous stage costumes and womanizing ways at the peak of his career in the 80s and early 90s, insists his faith has brought a balance to his life that he did not have before.
"There's an incredible peace in my life now and I try to share it with people," he said.
